Highlife musician KK Fosu has petitioned President Akuffo-Addo to impose a ban on tramadol and make the use of marijuana legal.
According to him, the government should rather make laws to ban the use of Tramadol and make the use of wee legal because a lot of people have died using Tramadol but weed has several health benefits.
KK Fosu in an interview on Accra-based Kasapa FM posited that 99 per cent of artists including gospel musicians use weed to boost their work rate.
“Hard drugs include cocaine and stuff, which I will never tolerate, but wee is normal. Sometimes, wee is recommended for asthmatic patients to enhance their recovery.”
“Many people take weed, we are just being hypocrites. I’m not saying we should legalize it in the sense that people will feel obliged to use it as and when they like, at least there should be a bit of respect for people around them. The use of Tramadol is becoming dangerous, I hear little kids in Junior High School even take it, which is very wrong.99% of artists in Ghana are wee smokers,” KK Fosu alleged
